Meet the Team

We invite each applicant into the academy for a one-to-one meeting to discuss which course will be most suitable, and what funding may be available. Many of our courses are Government funded, which means they are free!

Claire Savage, Centre Coodinator - The Certificate in Education, Internal Verifier, Assessors Award, NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Hairdressing

Claire has worked within apprenticeship training for over 10 years and is Centre Lead for Academy at No.5. Her passion to ensure high standard hairdressing delivery is passed through her team. She gives them the support and encouragement to ensure the theory and practical deliveries are motivational and inspiring as well as capturing all the knowledge needed for candidates to achieve their qualifications.
Claire ensures the academy has a fantastic relationship with all the salons we work with, which results in meeting both the needs of the industry and the standards set by Habia.

Natalie Burley, Internal Verifier/Assessor - Stage 1 Teaching, Internal Verifier, Assessors Award, NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Hairdressing, Working towards Certificate in Education

Our inspiring and motivation Level 3 tutor ensures all candidates she works with feel confident in developing their own style within hairdressing. With managing her own salon and being a Sebastian Advocate (soon to be Mobster!), Natalie is able to deliver all new and current techniques within her lessons; both theory and practical are always at the highest standard.
Students’ portfolios carried out under Natalie’s tutorage are always praised with every External Verifier visit. Natalie always gives 100% and this is reflected by the rapport she has with her students and their determination to progress and succeed in their own careers.

Kerry Rowlatt, Assessor - Certificate in Education, Assessors Award, NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Hairdressing, Trainee Internal Verifier

With over 9 years teaching experience, Kerry delivers NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Hairdressing. Kerry’s personal high standards are passed through her deliveries ensuring all of her students gain excellent practical skills and improved self assurance.

Due to her high standards, her students’ carry their skills and confidence with them into their workplaces, where they are fully capable of running a junior column once qualified. Kerry is always pleased to support her learners and her passion for our industry gives them the desire to progress further within the qualification suite offered at the academy, and further on into their careers.

Anita Hurst, Assessor - PTLLS, Assessors Award, NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Hairdressing and Barbering, Working towards DTLLS

Anita is a devoted member of the team, who always has a smile to brighten everyone’s day. Anita delivers NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Barbering and Hairdressing, cascading her skills and experiences to all of her candidates.
She is a great motivator, and provides learners with the self belief that takes them to success. Anita has managerial experience within salons, and over 25 years experience; her abilities are of such a high standard. Anita goes over and beyond to help the academy’s students achieve their goals, and helps them progress within their careers.

Tori Redman, Administration and Recruitment Officer - Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration, Apprenticeship in Using IT

Tori has worked within work based learning for 10 years, and has been a much appreciated part of the Academy at No.5 team since the company began in 2006.
Her variety of talents are fully utilised in her diverse role, which includes guiding candidates through the enrolment procedure and overseeing learner related administration. Tori provides support to her colleagues, our learners and their employers, and her work and presence within the academy is invaluable.

Chris Hall - Finance Manager, Registration and Certification

Chris began working as CEO, Vernon Stunt’s personal assistant in 2007, and has since undergone finance training and qualifications to arrive at where he is today. In addition to his financial responsibilities within the academy, Chris is also a huge support to the team for ICT matters, and he takes pride in his problem solving abilities.

Chris is also responsible for generating the registration of new learners, and the certification of our achievers. His attention to detail and patience with problems are qualities that are highly valued by the team.
